The White House Correspondence Association dinner, which is an annual event held at the White House was really special this time and saw President Barack Obama at his comedic best. This was the President’s last White House Correspondence and he was in his elements. He was funny, charming and completely at ease. It was clear that the press loved him and couldn’t have enough of him, or his jokes on Donald Trump.Obama has never been more confident than he is right now. He seems very comfortable about his Presidency and his approval ratings are at the highest they have ever been. His confidence was obvious to one and all.The dinner was hosted by The Nightly Shows Larry Wilmore, who was funny and edgy and smart. Some of his jokes hit the mark while others didn’t.Here is a collection of some of the best jokes at the event.#1: Referring to the ongoing Presidential race, Obama quipped:"The end of the republic has never looked better. Eight years ago I said it was time to change the tone of our politics. In hindsight, I clearly should have been more specific."#2: Obama drew a plenty of laughs when talking about his professional future, saying he would be a highly paid public speaker, Hillary Clinton: "If this material works well, Im gonna use it at Goldman Sachs next year. Is this dinner too tacky for the Donald? What could he possibly be doing instead? Is he at home, eating a Trump steak, tweeting out insults to Angela Merkel?"#5: Obama even made a joke about Bernie Sanders, who was in the audience: "I am hurt, though, Bernie, that you have been distancing yourself a little from me. I mean, thats just not something you do to your comrade."Larry Wilmore had a few great jokes as well. He mocked the conservative press by saying: "Welcome to Negro Night here in Washington — or as Fox News will report, Two Thugs Disrupt Elegant Dinner in D.C."Wilmore mocked the TV network that was broadcasting the event, C-SPAN, for its unpopularity with the viewing public. "C-SPAN is carrying this show live, which is ironic because most of their viewers aren . C-SPAN is the No. 1 network among people who died watching TV and no ones found them yet."Finally, Wilmore had this to say about Ted Cruz, "Man, everybody hates Ted Cruz. Even O.J.
