USA/ Lupta pentru prezidentiale a inceput!
The U.S. Presidential debate began on Thursday night, with the seven bottom-tier candidates taking on each other, in the race for the nomination for the Republican party. While Donald Trump wasn’t present on stage – he will feature in the larger debate with the more popular candidates later – he was a constant presence.Former Texas Gov. Rick Perry, who has a battle of sorts going on with Trump, was the first to attack “The Donald”. Perry said, "I talked about Donald Trump from the standpoint of being an individual who is using his celebrity rather than his conservatism. How can you run for the Republican nomination and be for single-payer health care?"Former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina attacked Trump and she was the most impressive performer among all candidates. She was aggressive, classy and elegant, positioning herself as a serious contender, not just for the Republication nomination, but also as in opposition to the Democratic Party frontrunner, Hillary Clinton later.Speaking about Trump, Fiorina said, “I didn get a phone call from Bill Clinton before I jumped in the race. Did any of you get a phone call from Bill Clinton? I didn . Maybe its because I hadn given money to the foundation or donated to his wifes Senate campaign.Heres the thing that I would ask Donald Trump in all seriousness. He is the partys frontrunner right now, and good for him.I think hes tapped into an anger that people feel. They
e sick of politics as usual. You know, whatever your issue, your cause, the festering problem you hoped would resolved, the political class has failed you. Thats just a fact, and thats what Donald Trump taps into.I would also just say this. Since he has changed his mind on amnesty, on health care and on abortion, I would just ask, what are the principles by which he will govern?”Another candidate, South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham attacked Hillary Clinton as well, saying, "To all the Americans who want a better life, don vote for Hillary Clinton. You
e not going to get it. I know the difference between flat broke — apparently she doesn . Hillary, Ill show you flat broke. Thats not it."This debate is just the sideshow to the real thing, which will feature Donald Trump, Jeb Bush, Marco Rubio, Scott Walker and other popular candidates. Most people will be watching that debate and we will bring it to our readers on ZapperNews.ro as well.So what should Donald Trump expect? Former House speaker and 2012 presidential candidate Newt Gingrich says, "No one has more to gain or lose than Trump. Trump can go in there and feel presidential and the average American can say: You know, behind the strong language and the vivid words, theres a guy that can be in the Oval Office. He comes out of there enormously strengthened."So far Trump was leading with a 21% support, with Jeb Bush coming at 10%, and Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker at 8% in the polls.Author: Raghav Hegde – India
