Abasto Shopping in Buenos Aires
Abasto Shopping not only houses over 250 shops across its three floors but is also an architectural marvel of its own. The shopping centre, built a few years ago in the area that was once Buenos Aires main market, Abasto houses a number of local retail chains along with international luxury stores. Shoppers looking for good bargains need not be disappointed as they can visit bargain shops like Ver, Yagmour and Markova that are located in the mall.
There are shops such as Paula Cahen dAnvers, Akiabara and Rapsodia exclusively for womens clothing while men can shop at Besimon, Prototype and Old Bridge. Traditional Argentinean clothing can be bought at La Martina.
The centre also houses a huge food court on its top floor with numerous local and international restaurants. The only kosher McDonalds of South America is located in this food court, along with a regular one just a few feet away. The food court also features a hugely popular and highly recommended Japanese restaurant.
A childrens museum called Museo de los Niňos is present within the malls premises and is the main attraction for the kids coming to the mall.
Abasto also features a 12-screen cinema hall that showcases movies from around the world. Tickets for the cinema can be picked up from a kiosk at the food court or from any of the other conveniently located ticket centres in the city.
