North Korea threatens the US!
North Korea is angry, so angry that they are planning to attack the United States, South Korea and Japan and start World War 3. Yes, North Korea has been building up its nuclear arsenal and has been adding more plutonium since September 2016.
The US think tank, 38 North, which focuses on North Korea says that the country has substantially increased its production of plutonium. They said in a report, “The Radiochemical Laboratory operated intermittently. And there have apparently been at least two unreported reprocessing campaigns to produce an undetermined amount of plutonium that can further increase North Korea’s nuclear weapons stockpile.”
There has been heightened activity at all of North Korea’s uranium enrichment facilities. The country has been going all out to increase its supply of enriched uranium. They have even conducted a nuclear test in September last year.
Uranium enrichment is not easy to detect compared to plutonium enrichment, so it can be enriched continuously as per a report by the Yonhap News Agency. The report said that there is a plenty of imagery taken by satellites that indicate that North Korea has been hard at work increasing its nuclear arsenal.
The report said, “Based on the imagery alone, it is not possible to conclude whether the plant is producing low or highly enriched uranium.”
The mouthpiece of the North Korean government, Rodong Sinmun, said in a recent editorial, “A simple misjudgment or a mistake may lead to the outbreak of a nuclear war and that, in turn, is sure to lead to a new world war. The U.S. saying it will regularly deploy strategic bombers to the Korean Peninsula is the same as a crazy act of playing fire on top of an ammunitions locker.”
The North Koreans directly warned the United States: “U.S. schemes aimed at increasing its threats of nuclear war against the DPRK [Democratic People’s Republic of Korea] for its legitimate and justified measures to defend its sovereignty and dignity will not evade self-destruction.”
“The recent mission demonstrates how the U.S. will continue to exercise the rights of freedom of navigation anywhere international law allows. These actions are consistent with long-standing and well-known U.S. freedom of navigation policies that are applied to military operations around the world,” the statement from the North Korean government concluded.
President Donald Trump has been very aggressive against North Korea said in a press conference after the recent ICBM test by the North Koreans: “It’s a shame they’re behaving this way. They’re behaving in a very, very dangerous manner and something will have to be done about it.”
“The U.S. is prepared to use the full range of our capabilities to defend ourselves and our allies,” U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley added.
