The Costanera Centre
The Costanera Centre is a business and commercial zone that includes three skyscrapers that comprises of two luxury hotels and an office building, and the hard to miss 62-storeyed Gran Torre Santiago building. The mall occupies the first six floors of this building. The centre is located in the Providencia district of Santiago.
The mall began operations in June, 2012 and is the largest in South America. It has six floors that includes a hypermarket (Jumbo), high street fashion brands like Armani, Zara, Swarovski, Guess, etc. and over a hundred shops that include the largest Chilean departmental stores of Paris, Falabella and Ripley.
The sixth floor of the mall features a gym, a cinema and Chiles first Hard Rock Cafe. A wide variety of dining options are also available within the mall that range from fast food chains like McDonalds to fine dining restaurants. A prominent feature of the mall is its twelve screen movie theatre that regularly features movies from across the globe.
Most of the stores are for mid range consumers and price conscious consumers may not find the products available in the mall suitable to their budgets. That said, the hypermarket, Jumbo provides some great value for money offers on various commodities, almost on a daily basis.
The centres parking facility is huge and is the first mall in the country to use the “Find Your Car” technology for parking assistance.
