Trump barred CNN and others in the White House!
Staff Report: in another act of “defiance” against the blatant lies that are spewed in the media by certain outlets, the president of United States of America Donald Trump banned CNN, The New York Times, and BBC from the informal briefing that are conducted at the White House.
The list includes more but these are the prominent names that feature on the Media ban list. The President Donald Trump has criticized the media in many of his speeches and has labeled certain news outlets as fake news. Some of these channels have issued reports and published stories against the president and offered programs that have fact checked the debates leading the president to the conclusion that these reports are “fake and planted” and that the media is against him and continues a legacy to tarnish his image.
It should be known that this is not the first time when a president of the country has tried to remove certain elements of the media from the informal briefings at the White House. The previous president Barack Obama had a history with Fox News and he saw the channel as one which was unable to present a complete picture to the audience.
Because of the media ban, media outlets including Associate Press, USA Today, and the Time magazine boycotted the meeting. CNN communication issued a statement stating “this is an unacceptable development by the Trump White House. Apparently this is how they retaliate when you report facts that they do not like. We will keep reporting regardless”.
The BBC correspondent has demanded the White House media team to ensure that no such eliminations happen in the past at all media briefings whether informal or formal.
It should be noted that even during the election campaign Donald Trump has mentioned his dislike for certain news outlets and labeled them as part of conspiracy theories against them.
